Biography

Chuck Peddle was born in 1937. In 1973, he joined Motorola, where he worked on the Motorola 6800 microprocessor. He left the subsequent year for MOS Technology where he and others developed the MOS Technology 6502, which was introduced at the September 1975 WESCON. The 6502 was a fraction of the cost of the Motorola 6800 and Intel 8080, and used in many of the early personal computers, including the Apple II and Commodore VIC-20. In 1980, he founded Sirius Systems Technology, where he developed the Victor 9000.

Peddle died on December 15th, 2019.
